Lands' End 3% Bonus Discount

We are pleased to announce that GLSC and Lands' End will offer a 3% bonus discount from November 17 to December 14, 2007. That means you can purchase Lands' End $25 and $100 gift cards at a 12% discount instead of the normal 9% discount for that period only.

Give a Lands' End gift or gift card to that special someone on your holiday shopping list!

Wal-Mart Is Here

Great Lakes Scrip Center is pleased to announce the addition of Wal-Mart to our list of participating retailers. Effective immediately, Wal-Mart gift cards are available in $25 and $100 at a 2% discount.

The addition of Wal-Mart is a special pilot program to make Wal-Mart gift cards available to non-profit fundraising programs for the first time ever.

Wal-Mart gift cards are redeemable at Walmart.com and in U.S. Wal-Mart stores. Cards are also redeemable for for purchases by SAM'S Club members in U.S. SAM'S Club stores and at Samsclub.com. For redemption in stores, present the card at checkout; for redemption online, enter the card number and PIN (on back of card) during checkout. The PIN provides secure online shopping.

Please note: Card graphics may vary. Also, the Wal-Mart gift cards are labeled as "reload able". GLSC discount is only applicable to the original card purchase and is not applicable to subsequent card reloads.

Sears 5% Bonus Discount

Great Lakes Scrip Center and Sears are pleased to announce a 5% bonus discount on all Sears Gift Card purchases from November 17 to November 30. That means you can purchase Sears Gift Cards at a 9% discount instead of the normal 4% discount. GLSC offers Sears Gift Cards in $25, $100 and $250 denominations.

Kmart 5% Bonus Discount

Great Lakes Scrip Center and Kmart are pleased to announce a 5% bonus discount on all Kmart Gift Card purchases from November 17 to November 30. That means you can purchase Kmart Gift Cards at a 9% discount instead of the normal 4% discount. GLSC offers Kmart Gift Cards in $25 and $50 denominations.

What is Scrip?
When you purchase scrip, you are purchasing gift certificates that are used just like cash. The scrip is issued by the national and local retailers where many of you already shop. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials – and it doesn’t cost you any extra money!  In fact, it saves you money! 

Why order Scrip?
When you order scrip, 2% is donated to the school, and the rest of the percentage goes directly to you.

For example, if you order a $100.00 Kohl’s gift card (the discount is 5%),
2% ($2.00) would go to OLL and 3% ($3.00) would go to you.

The money you earn throughout the year can be put towards:
Tuition
Church dues
OLL Childcare

How does it work?
Orders can be sent to school with your child on Mondays.  Fill out the attached form with a check for the total amount written out to “Our Lady of the Lakes Scrip”.  The gift cards will be sent home with your child on Thursdays.
