If you are a catechist or teacher, please take part in this blessing as we celebrate your dedication and willingness to share your faith. Saturday, September 29, 2007 -– John Bosco Youth Day – Holy Hill - "Fire on the Hill" We want to see Jesus! A day of Faith and Fellowship just for youth at Holy Hill, Mary Help of Christians 8:00 a.m. Day closes at 6:00 p.m. (Day will conclude after 4:30 Mass, which will fulfill your Sunday obligation.) Admission is FREE! Box lunch $7.00. (Collection at Mass to help defray the cost.) October 18-20, 2007 – Religious Education Congress – Catch Faith Here! All religious education teachers, principals and teachers of Catholic schools, Directors of Religious Education (DREs), and anyone interested in religious education are invited to attend this Congress held at Country Springs Hotel, Waterpark & Conference Center in Waukesha. For more information, contact the DRE at your parish. October 21 – Freshman and Sophomore Retreats Freshmen from all three parishes will meet at St. Nicholas Chapel, Dacada and sophomores will meet at St. Mary Chapel, Random Lake. These retreats are a mandatory part of the program. Please mark your calendar now so that the teens ask off of work and do not plan other activities on this day. 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. October 23, 2007 – Reconciliation Speaker Deb Hamm will speak to all parents of children making their First Reconciliation. Second grade youth will meet with catechists. Closing activity will be together. Information will be provided about First Reconciliation. January 21, 2008 – District 10 Catechist In-Service All catechists from District 10 will gather at St. Francis Borgia – North campus for an evening in-service January 29, 2008 – Eucharist Speaker Deb Hamm returns to speak to all parents of children making their First Eucharist. Children will meet with catechists similar to the Reconciliation meeting.. Information will be provided about First Communion. February 5, 2008 – NET Program – Holy Cross Chapel The National Evangelical Team will be back in town! All 7th and 8th grade religious education students from all three parishes are expected to attend this event. February 8 – 10, 2008 OR February 29 – March 2, 2008 – Confirmation Retreat Confirmation candidates from all three parishes will gather for a retreat weekend at the Camp Whitcomb Mason.
