About Mrs. Rengers I am originally from Greenfield, WI and I moved to Sheboygan the summer of 2008. I graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in December 2005, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a minor in English. I also completed certificates in Teaching Keyboarding and in Educational Computing and Technology. I completed my student teaching abroad in New Zealand! Since graduation I have been exploring many different occupations. I worked for a year as a School-Age Teacher at a daycare while also working as a therapist for children with Autism. After that I worked at a residential treatment center for children and adolescents who are dually diagnosed with disabilities. Most recently I co-taught at an inclusion school in Milwaukee. Now I am settled in Sheboygan with my husband, Pat, and am enjoying returning to Our Lady of the Lakes for my second year! I also am half way through with my master's degree in special education at Cardinal Stritch University.
My Classroom Philosophy:
My philosophy as an educator is to prepare students to become caring, knowledgeable, and faith-filled citizens. I strive to maintain a classroom environment in which each child's dignity, pride, imagination, and creativity is maintained and explored. I also believe that working with parents and keeping them involved is of utmost importance.
