Academic Excellence Sings       

How does my child earn a good grade in Ms. Thomaschefsky’s music class?
 
        I enjoy working with each child and I realize some parts of music do not come easily to everyone. This does not discourage me. I am determined to teach! Your child can do his or her best by being determined to learn.
        Please be assured children do not need "talent" to do well in my class. A child who struggles with pitch in singing can easily do better than a natural born singer who does not participate well in class. I tell students to try and to give their best effort. It is hard work and at times, can be risky to our self-esteem. Recognizing we are all precious children of Our Creator, I am ready to accept rough edges as detail in creation.
        God made each of us with tremendous potential for growth. Some of the details that I use to measure growth in music class are attitude, written work, following directions, class projects, and performance effort.
